In the center of Kyiv on Khreshchatyk Street a historical reconstruction of 1944 deportation of the Crimean Tatar people from Crimea was performed. Journalist Galina Dzhikayeva reported on the event on her Facebook page.
Participants of the event showed how the NKVD troops, executing Stalin's order, deported hundreds of thousands of Crimean Tatars from their historical homeland.

The criminal actions of the Soviet government led to mass loss of life and irreparable damage to the Crimean Tatar people, the development of its culture, tragically influencing its historical path. Only on the way to the exile and in the first year after the deportation more than 30 thousand people died.
