The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine refutes the pronouncements of the occupying Crimean "authorities" that residents of the annexed Crimea, who intend to apply for Ukrainian biometric passport for traveling abroad, are threatened with "arrests and clean", according to the comment of the First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova published in Facebook.
The First Deputy of the Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Vasyl Servatiuk dispelled the myth of occupying "government".
“This is an absolute myth, which once again showed the stupidity of our opponents, who provoke such actions and announce such statements”.
Earlier, the Vice-Premier of the Crimean "government" Georgy Muradov said that the trip to Ukraine for receiving a biometric passport, necessary for visa-free travels to the European Union countries, would be "a betrayal of the ideas of the Russian Crimea."
A day later, on June 22, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov announced the need to conduct a thorough check of all those arriving from the occupied territories who wish to receive a biometric passport.
