At Chongar checkpoint, the border guards of the Berdyansk unit have identified 15 citizens of Uzbekistan, trying to illegally cross the administrative border of Ukraine with Crimea without the necessary documents.
Reportedly, the group moved on foot, and was detained at the time of crossing the border. During inspection of their passports, the border guards found out that all the foreigners had entered the territory of the occupied Crimea through the closed checkpoint, and they do not have permission to enter the territory of Ukraine.
Besides the fact that the illegal migrants were not allowed on the mainland Ukraine, they were convicted of unlawful presence in the occupied territory, and denied entry to Ukraine for 3 years.
It was reported earlier that two soldiers of Ukrainian army deserted to the enemy in 2014 were arrested at Chongar checkpoint on the administrative border with Crimea.
