Crimean Republican Society of Bulgarians named after P. Hilendarski wants to recreate several ethnic Bulgarian villages. According to its Chairman Ivan Abazher, the lack of areas of Bulgarians’ compact settlement in Crimea is an obstacle to development of Bulgarian language and culture.

The decree by President of Russia on rehabilitation of formerly deported people, should contribute to solving the problem.

“Within the scope of the decree, we will be able to create one or three ethnic Bulgarian villages. We have already put forward the initiative to the President,” Kryminform reports citing Ivan Abazher as saying.

Earlier on, Vladimir Mironov, Ataman of the Crimean District Cossack Society, said that Cossack hamlets and villages may be created in 86 Crimean villages.
