International festival of Cossacks’ culture “Crimean tulumbazs-2014” to be held in Crimea May 23, amid Crimean authorities have banned all mass actions on the territory of Crimea till June 6.
Meanwhile, scientific conference dedicated to Crimean Tatar poet Bekir Choban-zade, also scheduled for May 23, was canceled over the authorities’ ban.
As we earlier reported, May 16, Crimean Prime Minister Sergey signed a decree, banning all the mass actions in Crimea till June 6, over the unrest in south-east Ukraine.
Following the decree, Crimean Tatars were banned from conducting their mourning meeting dedicated to 70th anniversary of Crimean Tatar deportation. The meeting used to be held annual at the central square in Simferopol for 23 years in a row, gathering dozens of thousands people.
