At a meeting of the State Council Committee, the so-called First Deputy Head of the Crimean State Committee for the Protection of the cultural heritage Aleksandr Didenko said that since the "authorities" of the occupied peninsula are not able to manage the budget allocated in 2016 for the reconstruction of architectural monuments, then they will not receive a new tranche in 2017. Ex-Minister of Economic Development of Russia Aleksei Ulyukayev confirmed this decision.

This year, the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia has allocated about 1 billion 200 million rubles for repair and reconstruction of the Crimean and Sevastopol palaces. 14 monuments of federal significance were identified as the objects for reconstruction, but the work on the budget development began only in the summer. The reason for that was the improper estimates and project documents drafted by the self-proclaimed "authorities". Therefore, they could not manage all the money, and as a result, the ancient objects of Crimea will be left without funding.

Earlier, QHA reported that occupation Crimean authorities have decided to run the gas pipeline promised by of the President of the Russian Federation Putin through one of the oldest historical sites in the peninsula, namely the gateway to the Cimmerian rampart.
