On November 26, during the meeting of the association Crimean Solidarity activists read a prayer in memory of the veteran of the Crimean Tatar national movement Vedzhie Kashka who was killed by the stresses experienced during the searches and detentions of the Crimean Tatars, according to the organization's Facebook page.
“At the beginning of the meeting we read prayers and surah Yasin (one of the chapters of the Koran), in memory of the deceased Vedzhie Kashka.”
Moreover, activists discussed the news about political prisoners.
“Particular attention was paid to the case of "extortion", the list of suspects in which has not yet been closed, i.e. can be replenished. In connection with this case, lawyers warn that one should not ask for money independently from the person you had borrowed, but it is better to seek legal assistance.”
The meeting also announced the opening of a hotline for legal advice. At the number +7 (978) 134 17 94 one can get a primary legal advice in a difficult situation in Crimea.
Earlier, November 23, after searches and detentions conducted in the Crimea by FSB officers, Vedzhie Kashka died.
On this day in the city of Simferopol, representatives of illegally created bodies in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, on a preliminary agreement with a group of people, attempted to illegally imprison a prominent Crimean Tatar activist Vedzhie Kashka, as a result of which she collapsed. After the ambulance took the victim, she died before she reached the hospital.
The news of the death of one of the modern heroes of the Crimean Tatar people, veteran of the national movement Vedzhie Kashka literally blew up social networks.
Later on, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa expressed condolences on behalf of the Ukrainian state in connection with the death of Vedzhie Kashka.
