Emir-Usein Kuku refuses to eat food and drinks only water, according to Sergei Loktev, the lawyer of the prisoner of the Kremlin, the Crimean Solidarity NGO reports.
Loktev noted that the Crimean Tatar refuses to receive glucose.
The lawyer called Kuku's health condition satisfactory.
“He makes complaints about the state of health. Accordingly, a medical examination was conducted in this regard,” he said.
Loktev noted that as of July11, the hunger strike of Emir-Usein Kuku lasted 16 days.
Earlier, lawyer Edem Semedlyaev said that Emir-Usein Kuku lost 9 kilograms during the hunger strike. According to Semedlyaev, on average, Kuku loses 600 grams a day; he is kept in solitary confinement cell. Previously, lawyer Sergei Loktev told QHA that Kuku was missing from the detention center.
