Ten arrested Crimean activists must be released from custody on February 26, according to lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.
“Today, 10 civil society activists must be released, who were not willing to stand aside when their neighbor, brother, friend, countryman was in trouble! They came to support, cover and show their concern about iniquities happening in the Crimea. For this, they were charged and imprisoned for 5 days!” Kurbedinov wrote on Facebook.
Journalist Anton Naumlyuk pointed that the first group was released this morning, and the second group of Crimeans will be released in the evening.
Previously, in the morning of February 21 it became known about another illegal search in the Crimea. At 7:30 armed men burst into the home of Crimean Tatar Marlen Mustafayev in Kamenka, Simferopol.
After some time, the activists reported on social networks about the detention of 10 people, who came to support the Mustafayev family. The detainees were accused of participating in an unauthorized rally under Article 20.2, Part. 1, of the RF Code of Administrative Offences.
After the trial, which took place on the same day, Marlen Mustafayev was arrested for 11 days under the court decision, and the rest of the ten detainees were sentenced for five days of the administrative arrest.
