Federal Security Service in the occupied Crimea violates prisoners' rights to legal protection resorting to widespread surveillance and eavesdropping of the prisoners’ conversations with human rights defenders, the lawyer Emil Kurbedinov informed on his page.

“While there is no guaranteed confidentiality of meetings for lawyers with their clients and lawyers, and when the lawyers are not able to visit the clients without the authorization of the FSB, we can talk about the widespread violations of the rights of the Crimean Tatars, the Crimean Muslims during compulsory psychiatric examinations! Lawyers Aleksandr Popkov and Eden Semedlyaev stated the same!”

Previously, lawyer Aleksandr Popkov said that his meeting with the political prisoner Emir-Usein Kuku in a psychiatric hospital in Simferopol, where he is allegedly "under examination", was held in the presence of an armed riot policeman who explained his presence and violation of prisoner’s rights with an "order of Russian Guard".
