On November 8, in the remand center of Simferopol a lawyer was detained who is defending the Muslims of the "Simferopol group" in the contrived Hizb ut-Tahrir case, journalist Anton Naumlyuk informed on Facebook.
The defendants in the case and their defense participated in the “court hearing” via video link from the Simferopol remand center. After the "hearing" the lawyer was detained by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
“According to them, the prosecutor Pakula who took part in the hearing told the prison staff that the lawyers had a phone illegally carried into the remand center,” Naumlyuk reported.
According to the journalist, the lawyer didn’t actually bring the phone with him to the remand center.
Naumlyuk further noted that administrative protocol was drawn against the lawyer.
On November 6, employees of the Russian Center for Countering Extremism came to the office to the human rights defenders of the public association Crimean Solidarity in the annexed Crimea.
The security forces handed a "caition" to the Crimean Tatar lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.
On October 27, the staff of the Russian prosecutor's office, along with unknown masked men, came to the meeting of the Crimean Solidarity.
Lawyers Edem Semedlyaev, Lila Gemedzhi and the coordinator of the public association Crimean Solidarity Dilyaver Memetov were warned about preventing violations of the law in the sphere of extremism.
