June 25-26 in the annexed Crimea, where it is forbidden to hold any mass actions of the Crimean Tatars, a marathon is taking place dedicated to the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag.

The organizer of the action was Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Nariman Dzhelalov, who together with the activists intends to go around the Crimea with a huge Crimean Tatar flag within two days. After this, the banner will be installed on one of the tops of the peninsula.

During the marathon, Dzhelalov plans to meet with Crimean Tatars living in various parts of the Crimea, to congratulate them on the national holiday.

Flashmob, dedicated to the Crimean Tatar flag, started in the village of Yeni Sarabuz (Ukmorne), in Simferopol district. The first place where the activists arrived was the village of Churchi.

In the center of the village there was a meeting at the monument dedicated to the deportation of the Crimean Tatars. The gathering honored the memory of the veteran of the Crimean Tatar national movement Server Karametov who died in an accident a few days ago.

“Server-aga always took a flag with him. We dedicate our meeting to his memory," Nariman Dzhelalov said.

In the course of the action, well-known sculptor Aider Aliyev, Crimean Tatar activist Refat Seitablayev made a speech, and told the story of the monument. The meeting read the prayer for Server Karametov.

Nariman Dzhelal asked to write on the Crimean Tatar flag a few words about the flag itself, the Crimean Tatar people and the Crimea. Activist Refat Seitablayev wrote memorable words on the flag.

Reportedly, the action in the village of Churchi was filmed by police officers of the Crimea. They followed the course of the event. Also, a police car was driven to the site of the action.
