The shooter who committed the massacre at the Kerch Polytechnic College turned out to be its student Vladislav Roslyakov, a 112 telegram channel reported.

Roslyakov was enrolled in college in 2015. On September 8, he obtained a permission for a 12-caliber rifle and, a few days before the attack on the college, he acquired about one and a half hundred cartridges.

Reportedly, the number of casualties increased to 18 people, about 50 people remain wounded.

The Kremlin-controlled head of the Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, on the air of Russia 24 TV channel, stated that the suspect of the attack, who opened fire and blew an explosive device, had committed suicide.

“Potential killer shot himself, committed suicide. This was a 4th year student at the same educational institution. The body of the attacker was found in the library on the second floor,” he noted.

According to him, the suspect acted alone and he was a Kerch resident.

Telegram channel Mash reported that the only person guarding the college was the janitor Natalia Panikorovskaya. Allegedly, she tried to save the children and became one of the first victims. At the moment she is in the hospital.

Before these details became known, the “head” of the State Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, on the TV channel “Russia 24” stressed that an explosion at the college could be connected with the Ukrainian authorities.

“We are waiting for official information. We all understand that all the evil on the Crimean land is done thoroughly by the Ukrainian authorities. They have never concealed hatred towards us, they have done a lot of evil over all these years, so I don’t want to be ahead of events, and the competent authorities will figure this out, but the wind blows from there. I am personally convinced of this.”

Six victims who are in serious condition, as a result of an explosion at a polytechnic college in the annexed Crimea in Kerch, are being evacuated to Simferopol, "Deputy Health Minister" of Crimea Nikolay Derkach said on the air of the TV channel "Russia 24".

“The six victims need evacuation to Simferopol,” he noted.

At the same time, the press service of the so-called "Ministry of Health" of Crimea stressed that 9 ambulance teams continue to work at the site of the explosion.

“All victims in the Kerch Polytechnic College receive the necessary medical assistance. Thus, eight operating theaters are working in medical facilities in Kerch, two operating theaters in the Leninsky central district hospital, nine ambulance crews are working in a disaster area, and air ambulance is involved. Anti-shock measures and primary damage treatment are being carried out. In addition, psychologists work at the site.”

QHA reported, that today, October 17, in the Kerch Polytechnic College, a massacre occurred. 18 people were killed, about 50 people were injured. All the victims were hospitalized.

A three-day mourning was declared in Crimea in connection with the incident.
