The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that a proposal is being drafted on persons who cooperate with the Russian invaders in Donbas not to be allowed to enter the European Union, according to the program on 1+1 TV Channel, as cited by UNIAN.
“Those who cooperate with the occupation authorities (in Luhansk and Donetsk regions), those who receive illegal documents, they also violate Ukrainian laws. We will screen them out. Now we are working on the proposal, the filter has been already working, so the relevant information goes through special services and through other relevant sources. I will not talk about all the details. We have other ideas also. So we will control the process. We discussed this with the European Union. All these collaborators who cooperate with the Russian authorities will not make a flow into the European Union.”
The minister also called Ukrainians not to go to the EU for employment.
“If the migrations flow from Ukraine increases many times, then, of course, the reason for this will be investigated. Then we will communicate with the European Commission and with individual countries. We will settle all at this stage. But then again, do not use the visa-free regime for a job. Come, look at the situation. Look for opportunities, but do not violate the European Union code. EU laws as well as ours should never be violated."
Earlier QHA reported that on June 11, the EU Agreement on visa liberalization with Ukraine came into force. Hundreds of Ukrainians have already crossed borders with the European Union without visas.
