In the capital of Ukraine today, June 26, at 16:00, the motor rally started, dedicated to the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag, QHA correspondent reports.
The column of 30 cars started from the hotel "Kosmopolit" (metro station "Shulyavskaya"). The cars are decorated with Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian flags.
The route of the rally passes along the Pobedy Avenue and ends at the Bessarabian market. The cars are expected to arrive at the end point at 18:00.
According to the journalists, cars from the column are honking, passers-by welcome the cars.
Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Akhtem Chiygoz, who also takes part in the rally, informed that at 18:30 the procession devoted to the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag will begin, followed by a rally at 19:00.
Earlier QHA reported that June 25-26 in the annexed Crimea, where it is forbidden to hold any mass actions of the Crimean Tatars, a marathon is taking place dedicated to the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag.
The organizer of the action was Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Nariman Dzhelalov, who together with the activists intends to go around the Crimea with a huge Crimean Tatar flag within two days.
