During the psychiatric examination of Muslum Aliyev, who is accused of involvement in the organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir", the doctors asked provocative questions related to his criminal case, according to the lawyer Eden Semedlyaev who visited his client today in a psychiatric hospital in Simferopol.
“The doctors asking questions that relate to the criminal case is simply outrageous. Namely they were asking whether he is a member of "Hizb ut-Tahrir", what is his attitude to the Mufti of Crimea, to ISIS and Shiites. We believe that these questions were composed by the investigators. I do not think that the psychiatric hospital staff is very interested in these questions,” he said.
According to the lawyer, the other defendants will undergo such a psychiatric examination in turn as well.
The lawyer Eden Semedlyaev urged his colleagues and journalists to disseminate information about punitive psychiatry used against the Crimean Tatars.
