While the construction of the Kerch bridge suffers numerous challenges, a new ambitious project is discussed in the occupied Crimea.
The sponsors intend to build a temple on the water, the cost of which, according to preliminary estimates, will be about one million US dollars. The implementation will require not only buying a ship, but also placing a church in it, as well as development of the pilgrimage route.
Despite the fact that the necessary amount is rather big, and the source of funding is not yet clear, a member of the Federation Council of Russia Sergey Tsekov, who was applied with the project, says that the idea is "completely real and will be implemented."
Earlier, in June 2014 Ukraine closed ports of the occupied Crimea in the cities of Yalta, Kerch and Sevastopol for shipping.
