The situation with the detention of human rights defenders from the Crimean Human Rights Group at the checkpoint Kalanchak will be described in detail in the report of the OSCE SMM, the journalist of the Center for Journalistic Investigations reported from a checkpoint at the entrance to the Crimea.
Observers claim that they received information about the details of the incident from the employees of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

“We usually monitor Internet sites, where we learned about this situation. They [the Ukrainian border guards - Ed.] gave us general information. All that we have learned, along with interviews with other people, will be forwarded to our main office, and they will most likely publish it on our official page. We will describe this situation in the report of our team, and together with other information it will be published in the report of the OSCE mission,” the OSCE representatives told the journalist.

Observers also talked to the husband of a detainee Olga Skripnik, human rights activist Vissarion Asseyev who was at the Kalanchak check point.

Earlier, QHA reported that March 13, at the administrative border with the Crimea, FSB officers detained two human rights activists from the Crimean Human Rights Group Olga Skripnik and Vladimir Chekrygin, as well as an employee of the Human Rights Commissioner Office of the Verkhovna Rada. Human rights activists went to the administrative border with the occupied Crimea in order to monitor the checkpoints from the Ukrainian side.
