Today, the security forces have come suddenly to the house of Zeynur Yakubov, a members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and participant of the Crimean Tatar national movement, accused of "participation in a meeting of the organization prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation and Crimea," said the First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Jelal.

“Today, the Crimean security officials visited another participant of the September 22 "Mejlis meeting" held at the home of Ilmi Umerov,” he wrote.

The court session in this case is scheduled on Friday, October 21.

On September 29, 2016, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation dismissed the appeal of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people against the "decision" by the so-called "Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea" of April 26, 2016 to recognize the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people an "extremist organization" and ban its activity in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Ukraine and the world community has not recognized and firmly condemned the retaliatory decision of the Russian court.

September 30, eight members of the Mejlis in the occupied Crimea - Emine Avamileva, Dilyaver Akkiev, Mustafa Maushev, Bekir Mamut, Tabakh Sadykhov, Shevket Kaybullaev, Enver Kurtiev and Abduraman Egiz - were summoned to the General Directorate for Combating Extremism ("E" center) of the MIA of Russia, where the administrative protocols on their participation in "illegal gatherings" were drawn up. Later the Crimean judge imposed fines on them.
