A prosecutor was replaced in the case against Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ilmi Umerov. A new one was Semenchuk, who had not previously been declared in the group of prosecutors on the case, Aishe Umerova informed on her Facebook page.

At the beginning of the next court session, which took place September 6 in the Simferopol district court, Ilmi Umerov challenged the new prosecutor due to the fact that the latter did not have time to familiarize with the case materials.

“In this connection Ilmi Umerov challenged the prosecutor. He explained it by the fact that it is impossible to familiarize with the three volumes of the criminal case, with the materials that have piled over the court hearings in one working day (and it is not possible to study them, since the protocols are not yet ready, and audio can not be the only source of information, but only the auxiliary one). And the fact that he was not included in the group of prosecutors is also an important factor. Let me remind that this is the third prosecutor in this case," Umerova reported.

Court rejected Umerov’s challenge to the prosecutor.

September 6, lawyers in the case of Ilmi Umerov intended to interrogate the last witness of the defense.
