December 27, "Razdolnensky district court" in Crimea held a meeting on the extension of a preventive measure in the form of detention for a Ukrainian activist Vladimir Baluh, according to the Crimean human rights organization.

Judge Aleksander Abelyashev decided to remand the Crimean in custody until February 5, 2017. Earlier, the same judge has chosen the measure of restraint for the Ukrainian accused of "illegal possession of weapons, its main parts and ammunition," until January 6, 2017.

Despite the poor state of health and complaints of the defence, the occupants hold the pro-Ukrainian activist in the cell and do not provide any medical treatment.
