The businessmen, Resul Velilyaev and Ali Bariev, detained by the Russian invaders in Bilohirsk, were taken out of the Crimea, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov informed on his Facebook page.

“Now Resul Velilyaev and Ali Bariev are under the watchful control of punishers, although their status is not yet indicated. They are not arrested and officially not detained, but they were taken out of the Crimea. I understand that they are being subjected to unprecedented pressure right now. How this will end, we'll find out soon," Chubarov wrote.

He wished endurance and strength to the detained Crimean Tatars, their relatives and friends.

"We will be attentive and caring for each other, no matter what efforts the Russian invaders have made to sow fear and despair among the Crimean Tatars," he called.

QHA reported the Crimean Tatar Resul Velilyaev, who was searched on April 26, was interrogated by the special forces for more than three hours.

Reportedly, security officers took Resul Velilyaev to the Investigative Committee of the city of Simferopol yesterday, about 18:30.

They also searched the houses of Velilyaev family members - Remzi, Resul, Ekrem, Zera and Rustem. Velilyaevs are businessmen known in the Crimea, patrons and founders of the Bekir Çoban-zade Charitable Foundation. The security officials also came to search the houses of Ali and Asan Bariev.  

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called searches in Crimea discrimination of the Crimean Tatars. The statement of the speaker of the ministry Mariana Betsa said that official Kyiv will transfer the evidence of the crimes committed by the Russian Federation to the international courts.
