Russian security forces in Crimea detained the Crimean Tartar woman after searches in the city of Stary Krym today, June 18, Crimean activist Abu Khamid reported on his Facebook page.
“After the search in the Stary Krym, daughter of Yunus-agha, Nazife, was taken away. Yunus-agha went with her," he wrote.
Lawyer Mammet Mambetov noted on Facebook that this is the second time in a week in the occupied Crimea, when women are being arrested.
“Bloodthirsty "law enforcement officers" are now tackling the Crimean Tatar women. The second case in a week. Today in the Stary Krym, after the search, the security forces took another girl from the house," he wrote.
Activists noted that the purpose of the conducted search was not known. Law enforcers did not provide any documents after the measured taken.
“They did not introduce themselves, illegally made photos of people who came to support this family,” Crimean Solidarity noted in the video message.
According to preliminary information, the law enforcers allegedly found a correspondence of detained with their spouse who is on the mainland of Ukraine.
QHA reported that on June 18, the invaders searched the Crimean Tatars' house in the city of Stary Krym.
