In the occupied Crimea, students and teachers of the Crimean Engineering Pedagogical University (KIPU) were forced to participate in rally in honor of the Victory Day, according to the announcement, which was published by the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov on its Facebook page.

Students and teachers were warned about gathering in the hall of the university at 8:30 to participate in the march of the "Immortal Regiment" column.

The announcement states that attendance at an event is mandatory.

“Dear colleagues!

We want to inform you about the changed order for participating in the events on the Victory Day.
The information concerns all the departments of the Crimean Engineering Pedagogical University (KIPU) without any exception!
Gathering of students and teachers will start at 8:30 am in the mail hall where everyone will be given St. George ribbons (obligatory format of participating) and portraits of Great Patriotic War participants for participating in the movement of the  "Immortal Regiment" column. 
Each participant, if so desired, can bring own table with portrait of Great Patriotic War participants from among relatives and close people.

Earlier it was reported that in Russia banners were made to the Victory Day with spelling mistakes. In particular, in the Russian Federation they hung banners with the inscriptions: "Oborona of SevOstopol" [Sevastopol] and "Defenders of the Bresk fortress" [Brest fortress].
