In his commentary to QHA lawyer Nikolai Polozov noted that the witnesses can not provide information about Ahtem Chiygoz actions during a rally on February 26 since no one saw him.

11:08 - The third prosecution witness is Yakubenko Yuri, the head of the military-patriotic education of the "people's militia" regiment.

9:40 - The second prosecution witness is Alexei Gaidar, Deputy Commander of the "people's militia"9-th company.

8:40 - The trial began with the hearing of witnesses for the prosecution. The first witnesses Alexander Krolman is a member of the "people's militia", 9-th company.

The lawyer Nikolai Polozov suggested that the court will deliver a verdict against Ahtem Chiygoz at the anniversary on February26.

Previously, the so-called Crimean Court made a decision to extend the detention of Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz till January 8, 2017.

Ahtem Chiygoz has been held in custody in the Simferopol detention center since the end of January 2015. He is charged with Part 1 of Article 212 of the Russian Criminal Code ("organizing mass disorder"), punishable by imprisonment up to 10 years.

Six Crimean Tatars were arrested on charge of rioting outside the Supreme Council of Crimea on February 26, 2014. Three of them, Ahtem Chiygoz, Mustafa Degermendzhi and Ali Asanov are in custody in the detention center-1 in Simferopol, the others, Eskender Kantemirov, Arsen Yunusov and Eskender Emirvaliev are awaiting sentence at home, being taken out on bail.
