Crimean Anna Rizatdinova recognized as the best athlete of Ukraine in September, 2016, according to the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
Rizatdinova’s trainer, Irina Blokhina, became the best coach of the month.
The Committee noted that Anna Rizatdinova distinguished herself through her achievements in "Aeon Sup-2016" unofficial club world championship in rhythmic gymnastics held in Tokyo in September. In the capital of the next Summer Olympics, the Ukrainian athlete from Crimea won the second place in the competition for the individual all-around, and, together with Victoria Mazur and Elena Dyachenko, was the third in the team competition.
Anna Rizatdinova brilliantly performed at the Olympic Games in Rio, winning a bronze medal.
The gymnast repeatedly won at the World Cup. She took four bronze medals at the world championships in 2014, as well as in 2015. This year, she has earned a bronze medal in the all-around at the European Championships.
Rizatdinova’s award in Rio de Janeiro became the tenth for Ukraine. At the end of the Olympics, Ukraine has won two gold, five silver and four bronze medals.
