During the day, July 4, militants in the zone of the Joined Forces Operation conducted 19 attacks at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU), two of which involved the use of heavy weapons, which resulted in injuries of four Ukrainian servicemen, the press service of the JFO headquarters reported on Facebook.

“The enemy fired with the use of mainly grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in some areas used weapons that are prohibited by the Minsk accords. The enemy resorted to firing on our positions 19 times, including 2 times from heavy weapons," reads the report.

In the Luhansk direction, the terrorists opened fire near the settlement of Krymske from mortars of 82-millimeter caliber, arms of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns, and near Prichepylivka - from an automatic grenade launcher.

During the militants’ shelling in the Svitlodar direction, two Ukrainian soldiers were injured.

“Over the past day the enemy has also shown himself in the Svetlodar direction. There, our positions were fired from heavy anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Due to the enemy's active actions, two of our defenders were injured.

Two more Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in Horlivka direction, where the militants fired on the APU's positions from automatic and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements of Zaitsevo and Pidlenne. Reportedly, these actions of terrorists have become a cover for the actions of a sabotage and reconnaissance group of militants.

“Due to the correct organization of the defense, the enemy's intentions were uncovered. Fire from the available means forced the enemy to retreat with losses. One saboteur died, having exploded on the explosive device, 6 more were injured. At the same time, as a result of the enemy's active actions, two Ukrainian servicemen were injured.”

In the Donetsk direction, the terrorists opened fire from grenade launchers and small arms near Avdiivka, Nevelske and Novomykhailivka.

In the Mariupol direction, the militants shelled the positions of the APU from mortars of a caliber of 120 millimeters and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers near Talakivka. The Ukrainian military also got under the fire in the areas of settlements Vodyane, Pavlopil, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne.
