According to Alexander Hug, OSCE SMM Principal Deputy Chief Monitor, 85 people have been killed as a result of hostilities in the east of Ukraine during a year 2017.
"As of today, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission has confirmed the death of 85 people and the injury of 384," Hug stated.
He also noted that, among the victims of the conflict was Joseph Stone, representative of the organization, who died on April 23 as a result of an anti-tank mine explosion.
Reportedly, Presidential Administration of Vladimir Putin, was ready to discuss the replenishment of the Joint Center for the Coordination and Control on Donbas by the officers from France and Germany.
Earlier, Putin complained to Merkel on the Ukrainian military. In particular, he noted that "the Ukrainian authorities, through various restrictions and provocations, for a long time purposefully hampered the conditions of the stay of Russian military and fulfillment of their duties". He also stressed that "despite the repeated proposals of the Russian Federation to resolve the existing unacceptable situation, the reaction was not received".
