During the day, October 17, the militants in the zone of the Joined Forces Operation in the East of Ukraine conducted 17 fire attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU), using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements in 7 cases, the JFO press center reported on Facebook.

“During the fighting, two soldiers of the United Forces were injured,” the report said.

The terrorists fired at the Ukrainian military in the areas of such settlements as Yekaterynivka, Novoluhanske, Verkhnetoretske, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Novotroitske, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Talakivka, Lebedynske and Shyrokine.

Militants used mortars of 120 mm caliber near Talakivka, and mortars of 82 mm caliber - near Novoluhanske, Hnutove, Lebedynske and Shyrokine.

The headquarters of the Joined Forces Operation stressed that four militants were wounded during the day.
 
QHA reported that during the day, October 16, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the JFO zone in Donbas. Militants 19 times opened fire on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with prohibited weapons being used 3 times. Also, in the Donbas, the work of snipers of illegal armed groups has intensified.
