A group of Serbian sniper mercenaries arrived in the territory of the Antiterrorist Operation (ATO) in Donbas, the ATO headquarters press center reported on Facebook.
“According to intelligence from the headquarters of the Anti-Terrorist Operation, a group of Serbian snipers has come to Donetsk. Their leader is Dejan Berić, call sign Deki," the message said.
The press center noted that Berić had already visited the Donbas with the intention of enrichment, and fought siding with militants against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Reportedly, shelling by militants on December 18 resulted in casualties among the peaceful Ukrainian population and significant destruction. As a result of the militants’ actions, two women were taken to the intensive care unit.
