Ukrainian border guards detained a man who tried to transport a spy device to the mainland Ukraine at the administrative border with Crimea, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine press service reported on June 4.
“Yesterday (on June 4 – Ed.), a 27-year-old citizen of Ukraine, a resident of Mykolaiv, arrived at the "Kalanchak" entrance-exit checkpoint from the territory of the occupied peninsula by car "VAZ". During the inspection of his vehicle, the Kherson detachment border guards discovered a special device for secretly receiving information in the form of a fountain pen in the car door”, the press service noted.
The representative of the department added that the border guards informed the Security Service of Ukraine officers on this fact and they seized the device.
