Militants of terrorist groups in the Donbas continue to violate the ceasefire during the New Year and Christmas holidays, as a result of which a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) was injured according to the report by the press center of the ATO headquarters on Facebook.
“Over the past day, 2 attacks at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been recorded. As a result of the fighting, one soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was injured. He was promptly taken to a military hospital and provided with the necessary medical assistance," reads the report.
For the first time in three days the militants violated the ceasefire in the Luhansk direction.
“In the evening the militants fired more than 10 mines of 120-mm caliber on the defensive fortifications of the ATO around Luhansk,” the message says.
In the Donetsk area, terrorists used grenade launchers, small arms and mortars of 120 millimeters caliber near Verkhnyotoretske.
Earlier, the Ukrainian intelligence officer Oleksandr Chegurko was killed in the ATO zone. The reasons for the death of the intelligence officer are still unknown. Oleksandr Chegurko was an officer of the 28th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
