During the day of July 1, the militants of terrorist groups in the zone of the Joined Forces Operation violated the “Harvest Ceasefire” 25 times, in two cases weapons prohibited under the Minsk accords were used, according to the report of the press center of the JFO headquarters on Facebook.
“The enemy fired using mainly grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and in some areas they used weapons prohibited under the Minsk accords. The enemy resorted to provocative fire 25 times on our positions, heavy weapons were used in two cases," reads the report.
The JFO headquarters noted that servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) responded to shelling of opponents only in case of threat to the Ukrainian military or civilians.
In Luhansk direction the militants opened fire near the settlements of Shchastya, Novooleksandrivka, and Krymske. Terrorists used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
“The defenders of Troitske settlement were provoked with shelling from 82-mm mortar. The enemy also opened fire in the area of the Svitlodarsk arc. Our positions there were fired from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.”
In Horlivka direction, the terrorists fired upon the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns near Luhanske settlement, from mortars of 120 millimeters caliber - near Zaitseve, and from infantry fighting vehicles - near Hladosove.
In the JFO headquarters added that the Donetsk direction was calm.
“It was restless in Mariupol direction in the vicinity of the settlements Vodyane, Hnutove and Shyrokyne. The enemy used the grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms attempting to force our defenders to fire back.”
