2,696 Ukrainian servisemen died, and 9,903 have been injured since the beginning of hostilities in Donbas, accordong to Col. Andriy Lysenko, Ministry of Defense of Ukraine spokesperson on ATO related issues.
“Since the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, as of today 2696 soldiers died, 9,903 have been wounded,” he said during the briefing on June 16.
Earlier, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) announced an intention to submit a bill on the restoration of state sovereignty in the occupied part of the Donbas to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Earlier QHA reported that the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov said that it was necessary to finish the antiterrorist operation and to proceed with a new format of the country defence.
