OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Desir calls to free immediately the journalist Stanislav Aseev, who was detained by DPR (Donetsk People’s Republic) terrorists, OSCE reported.
Desir “expressed deep concern about the continued detention of journalist Stanislav Aseev in eastern Ukraine”.
“I call on all those responsible to immediately release Stanislav Aseev. Journalists and other media actors must be free to express their views and carry out their work unhindered,” Desir said.
Aseev is a contributor to the Ukrainian Service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) and a well-known blogger. He disappeared at the beginning of June 2017 in Donetsk.
Earlier, the state of health of the detained Ukrainian journalist Stanislav Aseev (Vasin) had gone down, according to the former Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yegor Firsov.
