In September, about 484 thousand vehicles traveled across the Kerch Bridge, which, in fact, was half as much as in August, the press service of the RF "Office of Federal Highways" in Crimea Taman reported.

“In total, since the opening of the new highway through the Kerch Strait, more than 2.722 million motorists have used it,” the report said.

The decrease in traffic intensity is explained by the end of the holiday season.

“In September, the Taman direction prevailed: almost 260 thousand cars drove across the bridge from the Crimea to the Krasnodar Territory. The average daily traffic in September was more than 16 thousand vehicles, which is 40% lower than the same indicator in August and slightly higher than the traffic in the first summer month (in June it was 15.2 thousand cars). The decrease in traffic intensity is due to the end of the holiday season,” reads the message.

Reportedly, in August more than 845 thousand vehicles traveled over the bridge.
Earlier, on October 1, the Kerch Bridge was opened to freight traffic. Prior to that, only trucks involved in construction of the Kerch Bridge and the Tavrida route could drive along the bridge.
