In the old part of the city of Bakhchysarai, the unknown desecrated the Muslim cemetery Baba Kurt for the second time, according to activist Muminet Salieva.

“On the morning of May 17, once again (twice in the last 10 days), the cemetery was desecrated with a swear inscription on a pointer," she informed.

After the occupation, cases of desecration of memorials devoted to the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people increased around the Crimea.

Earlier in the village of Bagerovo near Kerch, the vandals painted a gravestone on the Crimean Tatar cemetery with green paint.

May 2015, on the eve of the anniversary of the Deportation at the foot of Eklizi-Burun (the highest peak of the Chatyr-Dag plateau), the vandals defeated a monument erected in memory of the deported Crimean Tatars.

In October 2015, in Koreiz, unknown people painted memorial plaque on the deportation of Crimean Tatars from the village with a yellow paint.
