In Chernihiv, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) together with border guards eliminated a channel of drugs smuggling from the Russian Federation.
On the eve of the Christmas holidays, law enforcement officers detained three Ukrainian citizens, who transported one and a half kilos of cannabis across the state border.
Investigators of the SSU in Chernihiv region opened criminal proceedings under Part. 1 Art. 305 (drugs smuggling) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, according to the SBU’s press center.
