Simferopol (QHA) -

The newly appointed Crimean Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov intends to meet with head of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov today on March 4.  He said this at a press conference in Simferopol.

The newly appointed head of Crimea again promised benefits to Crimean Tatars, solutions to their problems in places of compact residence of Crimean Tatars, as well as increase of funding to the programs for rehabilitation of formerly deported.   He also offered Crimean Tatars high positions in the Crimean government.

“Today I have a meeting with Refat Chubarov, we are negotiating with Crimean Tatars,”- said Askyonov.

He also promised full functioning to the Council for ethnic affairs.

In turn, head of Mejlis Refat Chubarov has not yet confirmed information about meeting with Aksyonov.

To be noted, Crimean Tatar Mejlis does not recognize the legitimacy of the Crimean authorities in the face of Sergey Aksyonov and newly elected Crimean Cabinet of Ministers.   Earlier Chubarov stated that he would not cooperate with the new government.
