“Odessa deposit is the largest, put into operation in 2011-2012. And currently the greatest amount of gas is extracted from it and supplied to the Crimea. So, in fact, in 2014 illegitimate authorities of the Crimea, that is, the Russian Federation, produced 1 billion 117 million cubic meters from it. In 2015, 980 million cubic meters and in 2016, respectively, 880 million," the Head of the company specified.
Earlier, on February 6, the Primorsky District Court of Odessa granted the petition of the investigators of the National Police General Directorate and seized the four floating drilling rigs belonging to the state company "Chernomornaftogaz", captured by Russia after the annexation of Crimea.
According to the Head of the Ukrainian company "Chernomornaftogaz", due to the seized assets, Russia annually extracts 2 billion cubic meters of gas on the Black Sea shelf, thus providing the occupied Crimea, which is a direct violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982.
