In her first official visit to Ukraine as NATO Deputy Secretary General, Rose Gottemouler met with representatives of the Crimean Tatar people, including the leader of the Crimean Tatars Mustafa Dzhemilev and the Head of Mejlis Refat Chubarov. During the business breakfast they discussed the problem of Russia's aggression in the Crimea, the state of human rights in the occupied Ukrainian territory and security issues in the Black Sea region. Presidential Commissioner for the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev shared this information on Facebook.

Earlier, speaking in Bratislava at a conference devoted to the issues of conflicts and violence in the world, Mustafa Dzhemilev said that Crimean Tatars under the pressure of repression carried out by a semi-bandit totalitarian regime are forced to leave the peninsula occupied by Russia and move to the mainland of Ukraine.
