Speaking at a meeting of the Parliament, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko confirmed that Ukrainian diplomats got the task to release all political prisoners in Crimea.

“Human rights violations in Crimea should be kept on the agenda of the world community, and the sanctions must be enhanced,” said Poroshenko, speaking to the MPs.

The Head of State spoke about the need of introducing the new sanctions against the aggressor, in order to release the prisoners "of the Kremlin."

“Harassment of the Crimean Tatars on the annexed peninsula requires the Community to impose additional sanctions against Russia. Ukrainian diplomats are tasked to release all political prisoners in Crimea,” said the President.

Poroshenko went on saying that Putin's statement on Crimea is his personal fantasies and the peninsula was, is and will be Ukrainian.
