Director General of Bakhchisaray Historical and Cultural Preserve Valeriy Naumenko was resigned from his post.

Crimea's acting Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov signed Naumenko’s resignation on April 3.

“The decision was made. I am not director of the preserve anymore. I failed to convince Mr. Aksyonov, so the resignation was signed – Naumenko said. Premier has his own ideas how to develop the Bakhchisaray preserve” – he added.

Deputy chairman of Bakhchisaray rayon administration Elmira Ablyalimova is to be appointed new director general of Bakhchisaray Historical and Cultural Preserve.

Bakchisaray Historical and Cultural Preserve, which includes the Khan's Palace, cave town Chufut Kale, Uspensky monastery and others sights, applied to UNESCO for including it to UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list.
