Russia handed over a letter, addressed to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and written by leader of Qırım organization Remzi Ilyasov, requesting to consider the situation developed due to the blockade of Crimea and ‘take appropriate actions’, RIA Novosti news agency reports.

In his letter, Remzi Ilyasov wrote about the blockade that has been held for more than two months from the Ukrainian side at Kalanchak, Chaplinka and Chongar checkpoints.

According to Ilyasov, the ‘inhuman and futile campaign has a single purpose - to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Crimea. It will bring nothing to inhabitants of the peninsula but suffering and misery, and it cannot be justified by any political or other purposes.’
