Self-styled “governor of the Luhansk People's Republic” Valeriy Bolotov asks President of Russia Vladimir Putin to help separatists and bring troops to the territory of the so-called “Luhansk People's Republic”, Ukrinform reports.

“Leaders of the Luhansk People's Republic appeal to you, asking to bring the peacekeeping forces to the territory of the Luhansk People's Republic,” reads the statement posted on website of the “republic”.

As the leader of Luhansk separatists explained his appeal, the Ukrainian forces “threaten the life activities of the young state,” and “the prevention of the humanitarian catastrophe... is only possible through bringing the peacekeeping forces of Russia.”

To recall, Putin ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine’s borders.

Meanwhile Kyiv appealed to Moscow requesting an observation flight over its territory to check whether the troops fulfill the promise of President Vladimir Putin to withdraw from the border.
