October 11, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, introduced to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law concerning the extension of the period of the agreement between Ukraine and the Netherlands for the protection of the investigation into the catastrophe of Malaysian "Boeing-777", shot down over Donbas in the summer of 2014.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya urged the Ukrainian Parliament to support the bill of the President to extend the agreement to investigate the disaster of "Boeing-777" up to August 1, 2017, according to a QHA correspondent.

“The Dutch government will cover all the costs of the investigation, financial security of its personnel and the Commission as a whole. I ask you to support the President's proposal,” he said.

Olena Sotnik, MP from the "Samopomich" Union, has also encouraged supporting the bill to extend the investigation.

“Russia always denies that it is related to the catastrophe of "Boeing". We need to establish justice, so we ask you to support the adoption of the agreement," she said.

It was reported earlier that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) was shot down and crashed over the Donetsk region on July 17, 2014, killing all 283 passengers on board.

September 28, 2016, in the Netherlands, the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) composed of prosecutors and representatives of other law enforcement bodies of Ukraine, the Netherlands, Belgium, Australia and Malaysia, as well as representatives of the European Union presented the results of a criminal investigation into the causes of the Flight MH-17 disaster.

The JIT team concluded that the airliner Flight MH-17 was shot down by a 9M38 series missile, launched from a self-propelled fire installation BUK-TELAR in the field near the village of Pervomaisky. At that time, the area was under the control of pro-Russian separatists. The investigation found that the BUK-TELAR installation was delivered to Ukraine from the Russian Federation and returned back after the attack on the Flight MH17.
