Speaking at the Verkhovna Rada, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko congratulated the MPs with the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. He singled out the unity of our country as the main task of parliamentarians, in conditions of the second wave of aggression.

Guarantor of the Constitution said that the fancy about peace in exchange for territory is illusion, which leaves no peace, no territory, and only the war and the ever smoldering conflict.

“For me, the struggle for Ukraine's territorial integrity within the borders of 1991 is the priority. There was no referendum in Crimea - it's all nonsense of Putin. What he says like "The issue of Crimea is closed" is nonsense, but the issue is really closed, because in 1954 and in 1991, Crimea was, is and will be Ukrainian,” said the President.

According to the President, there will be no other conversation on this subject.
