Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the issue of prisoners exchange with the leaders of terrorist organizations "DPR" and "LPR" Aleksandr Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky.

The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov reported that the telephone conversation took place on Wednesday, November 15.

According to him, Putin supported the proposal of his crony, the representative of Ukraine at the Minsk talks Victor Medvedchuk, about the large-scale exchange of persons held by both sides.

"Zakharchenko and Plotnitsky generally supported this initiative," Peskov informed.

Medvedchuk said that Ukraine is ready to release 306 people and counts on the release of 74 people.

According to him, the heads of the "DPR" and "LPR" also "drew attention to the fact that it is still necessary to further work on this issue with representatives of the Ukrainian side."
