Gerard Stoudmann, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, visited Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University and met its staff, RIA Novosti (Crimea) quotes Fevzi Yakubov, Rector of the university, as saying.

“I took him on a tour of the university and he got to talk to its personnel. Members of the mission got answers to the questions they were interested in. They asked how we felt about the fact that Crimean Tatars split up into two groups. I told them that the second group accounts for less than 1 percent and, therefore, constitutes a splinter group. As a result, the first group draws the right conclusions, passes the right diagnoses and takes some steps. However, the second one becomes opposition and engages in terrorist activities,” said the rector.
