The working group on amendments in the status of the Crimea will soon submit the integral text of the amendments and additions to Section 10 of the Constitution of Ukraine to the Constitutional Commission.

The Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov informed about the progress at the presentation of the book by the Crimean Tatar writer Yunus Qandım "Let grass not grow on battlefield ..." translated into Ukrainian.

“We are on the eve of many practical things in the Crimea, from its returning, further development, improving the legal status of Crimea. And we are literally, I hope, at the outset of the holistic text of those amendments and additions that will be proposed in the near future to the Constitutional Commission in section 10 of the Constitution of Ukraine on the Crimea,” he said.

Chubarov noted that among the members of the working group are lawyers, politicians and scientists. A difficult stage of discussions has already finished, which, in his words, at some points resembled discussions that took place in 1917, including those during meetings of the delegations of the Crimean People's Republic, or the Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people and the Ukrainian government. "

Earlier Chubarov said that Crimean Tatar autonomy will strengthen Ukrainianhood in the Crimea.
